So what does this mean for you?
Georgia House Bill 1100 allows the available tax incentive for Film, Music, and Interactive Entertainment Projects to be increased from the previous 9%-12% to 20%-30%. Which is a pretty dramatic increase. This gives Georgia a better position to attract out of state companies to complete their productions here. Though the bill is targeted at fairly high cost productions, it’s good for everyone since companies coming here will need to employ Georgians. And they actually get increased incentive for doing so. Very nice.
